Our motto: Hike more, worry less…
As the name suggest, this lodge is a renovation of an old actual outpost used by President Paul Kruger who stayed here for a while before and during the Anglo Boer war.
Since then it fell into different hands, among others his son, then it was abandoned for many years after which wood cutters then occupied it.
The original old Oregon wood floor still carries the testimony hereof in silent expression.
The previous owner then rescued and restored it and brought it back to life by adding some living spaces and functionality.
When the current owners took over a few years ago, another rescue and restore program was launched and today this old lady stands proud again! A mixture of old world charm and modern amenities make this wonderful stay for the modern travel seeking silence in history filled surroundings.
